Adolescents and youth in BARMM shared their views on the Office on the Bangsamoro Youth Affairs (OBYA) and the programs OBYA should focus on to address the biggest concerns of young people in the region.
According to a U-Report Poll in the Philippines:
- 75% of adolescents and youth know about the Office on Bangsamoro Youth Affairs but 66% of them don’t know about OBYA’s programs and services.
- 47% of adolescents and youth suggest that OBYA support and advocate for education programs for them, 20% for livelihood opportunities and 12% for good and moral governance
- 34% of adolescents and youth feel that OBYA can ensure their participation, 32% feel OBYA could implement youth programmes and 23% feel OBYA can help to amplify their voices.
- 34% of adolescents and youth polled recommend that OBYA visit their communities to have better interactions with young people.
